A bare yes to a bare draft does nothing, because a reply is matched to the packet it answers.
Before you can approve
- Piece named
- The title, so a reply lands on the right piece.
- Revision and hash
- The exact version, the same hash the Desk shows.
- Destination named
- Where it goes if you approve.
The word approve binds to that revision's hash.
If the piece was edited since the packet, the approval is refused and Oat sends the new packet, so a stale approval never publishes.
Nothing posts from a chat by itself.
An approval in a thread enters the same delivery chain as one from the Desk, and the thread never holds a publishing credential.
